Forget spending weeks researching restaurants, mapping hikes, or figuring out what to do each day. We’ve done it for you - all you have to do is show up!


Join us for a thoughtfully curated three-night escape in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, where every day offers the chance to discover something new. Paint alongside a celebrated artist, learn cooking techniques with our chefs, explore woodland trails and local history, enjoy memorable farm-to-table meals, gather around a campfire under some of New England’s darkest skies, and head home with new skills, new memories, and perhaps a few new friends.

Whether you’re traveling as a couple, on your own, or with a friend, this weekend is designed for curious adults looking to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasure of learning something new.

No planning required. Just arrive, relax, and enjoy the weekend we’ve created for you.


What’s Included

Your three-night package includes:

  • Three nights at The Landgrove

  • Daily breakfast

  • Chef-prepared dinners each evening

  • Two mornings of painting with artist Rick Shiers (attend one or both)

  • A hands-on cooking experience with award-winning Chef Angela McCrovitz

  • Guided history walk or woodland hike each afternoon

  • Campfire, s’mores, and guided stargazing

  • Vermont scones baking class with Breakfast Chef Jenn

  • Complimentary late checkout on Monday

  • All activity materials and instruction

Optional boxed lunches, alcohol and other beverages are available for purchase throughout the weekend.


Price: $1950 total for two travelers, $1302 for a solo traveler. Gratuities excluded.


Your Weekend Agenda

Friday – Arrive & Settle In

3:00–5:00 p.m. | Check-In

Take your time settling into your room, wander the property, relax on the porch, or enjoy the peaceful surroundings before the weekend begins.

5:30 p.m. | Welcome Reception

Meet your fellow guests over light refreshments before dinner.

6:30 p.m. | Welcome Dinner

Your weekend begins with a seasonal dinner featuring fresh Vermont ingredients and warm hospitality.

Saturday – Create, Explore & Savor

8:00–9:00 a.m. | Breakfast

Enjoy a hearty Vermont breakfast before the day’s adventures.

9:00 a.m.–Noon | "Painting For Everyone" with Rick Shiers

Spend the morning in the studio with acclaimed artist Rick Shiers. Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or paint regularly, you’ll enjoy expert guidance in a relaxed, encouraging environment. This class is designed as an introduction to painting, adaptable to all experience levels.

Attend Saturday, Sunday, or both sessions.

Noon–2:00 p.m. | Free Time

Relax by the pool, read on the porch, explore nearby Weston or Manchester, or simply enjoy the quiet beauty of The Landgrove. Visit a local restaurant for lunch or purchase a boxed lunch for a picnic.

2:00–4:00 p.m. | Choose Your Afternoon Adventure

Select one of two guided experiences:

  • A scenic woodland hike through the surrounding Green Mountains

  • A leisurely walk exploring Landgrove’s rich local history, with a stop at the local cemetery dating to the late 1700s

Both options are designed to be enjoyable and accessible for most guests.

4:30 p.m. | Cook with Chef Angela McCrovitz

A hands-on culinary experience, learning techniques, recipes, and tips while helping prepare elements of tonight’s dinner.

7:00 p.m. | Dinner

Gather together to enjoy an exceptional meal showcasing seasonal Vermont flavors.

Sunday – Discover More

8:00–9:00 a.m. | Breakfast

Another relaxed Vermont morning begins.

9:00 a.m.–Noon | "Painting for Everyone" with Rick Shiers

Continue your artwork or join your first session of the weekend.

Noon–2:00 p.m. | Free Time

Explore, relax, or enjoy an optional boxed lunch before your afternoon activity.

2:00–4:00 p.m. | Choose Your Afternoon Adventure

Take the trail you missed—or revisit your favorite experience from Saturday.

6:00 p.m. | Farm-to-Table Dinner

Enjoy another memorable evening featuring thoughtfully prepared seasonal cuisine.

After Dinner | Campfire & Vermont’s Dark Skies

Gather around the fire for s’mores before turning your eyes to the night sky. Using our Unistellar smart telescope, you’ll explore constellations, planets, and distant galaxies under some of the darkest skies in New England. As a bonus, the moon rises after midnight, making it a perfect night for stargazing.

Monday – One Last Taste of Vermont

8:00 a.m. | Breakfast

Savor one final breakfast before your morning baking class.

9:30 a.m. | Bake Vermont Scones

Join us for a fun, hands-on baking class and learn how to make one of our guests’ favorite breakfast treats. You’ll leave with recipes, techniques, and optional fresh scones to enjoy later.

1:00 p.m. | Late Checkout

No need to rush. Enjoy a leisurely morning before beginning your trip home. Head out for a local lunch or purchase one of our boxed lunches to make your day as easy as possible

Transportation to The Landgrove

We have several airports within a reasonable drive: Albany, Rutland, Hartford, or Burlington, plus several regional airports. Boston is ~3hrs drive, NYC is ~4 hrs travel time. If using Amtrak, we recommend the Albany Amtrak station with a rental car for the 90 min drive (or use Mountain Drivers, link below)


If driving in winter or mud season (January to early May), we recommend a 4x4 or all-wheel drive vehicle.


If flying in to a nearby airport (Albany, Hartford, or Rutland) and seeking transportation from the airport to our doors, we recommend:
