About the event
"From Tone to Color" is a workshop designed to help participants develop their skills in creating visually compelling artworks. Students will learn how to use tone and color to create a sense of depth, atmosphere, and mood in their artworks.
VALUE CONCEPT
The workshop will begin with an introduction to the concept of tone (value) in watercolor. Participants will learn how to use different watercolor techniques to create a range of values, from light to dark, and how to apply these values to create depth, dimension and focal areas in their paintings.
VALUE AND COLOR RELATIONSHIP
Next, participants will explore the relationship between value and color. They will learn how to use different color schemes using primaries to create mood and atmosphere in their paintings.
BRUSH TECHNIQUES
Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to practice their skills through a series of exercises and projects. They will learn how to use tone and color to create different effects, from bold and vibrant to soft and subtle.
HOW TO CONVEY THE MOOD
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of tone and color theory and the skills to apply these concepts to their own artworks. They will have a better understanding of how to create visually compelling artworks that convey a sense of mood, atmosphere, and meaning through deeper understanding of tone and color.
INDIVIDUALIZED APPROACH
By providing an individualized approach, each student will receive tailored guidance and instruction to help them develop their painting skills, regardless of their current level. This workshop is a great opportunity for anyone looking to improve and gain valuable experience in a short amount of time.

Use the check in date of May 26, 2026 and a check out date of May 30, 2026 or May 31, 2026.
The booking system defaults to Single Occupancy including the meal package and one workshop registration, prorated to a nightly average.
If you will be attending the workshop solo, you will enter your booking dates, select your room, and add a pet fee if applicable.
If you are planning to have an additional person join in your room, you will need to select the correct occupancy to calculate the additional meal package in your total. Your nightly rate will update accordingly. All room occupants will be on the meal package and eat all meals together with the workshop group.
If the second person in your room is also attending the workshop, please select "additional workshop registration" option and add it to your package. This will ensure we have a correct headcount and correct calculation for your package.
